A timely act of compassion from Mwalimu Francis Njiriri and a group of passers-by led to the rescue of popular comedian Henry DeSagu.
In a Facebook post, the Good Samaritan revealed that the incident started when he saw the comedian sad on the Thika-Ngoingwa-Mangu Road.
The incident happened around 9.40am when Njiriri, coming out of his activities, saw a young man (DeSagu) walking aimlessly on a busy road.
Cars honked as drivers tried to avoid him, but the man seemed unfazed. Sensing danger, Njiriri decided to intervene.
Approaching her cautiously, she was startled to recognize the familiar face of Henry DeSagu, an online content creator known for his cartoons. funny.
“DeSagu was not sane,” Njiriri narrated. “He was shouting and talking to himself. I felt a great desire to help.”
With help from several bystanders, Njiriri was able to coax DeSagu into his car.
Then the group transported him to the Hospital Thika Level 5, where Dr. Catherine, a psychiatrist called, provided urgent medical care.
Njiriri expressed his gratitude to all those who came forward during the emergency.
“Thank you to all the good-willed people who responded when I asked for help,” he said. “Your kindness may have saved a life today.”
Njiriri urged Kenyans to always look out for the people who matter because they never know when a simple gesture of caring can make all the difference.
DeSagu himself had recently shared a social media post hinting at feelings of insecurity, which some may have dismissed as part of his content creation.
