The daily newspaper highlighted the new pain of President William Ruto in appointing a new holder of the post of Minister of Home Affairs following the elevation of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to his current post.

Ruto is said to prefer the appointment so as not to start a political contest, disrupt the regional balance, or endanger his new ally and ODM leader. Raila Odinga.

Locals inside the presidential office, who knew about the strong influence among the leaders of the Union of Kenya Firstinformed the nation that the President is considering several things to bring balance.

“It is a sensitive balance for the President. Everyone is lobbying personally or through communities and partners. His choice will shock Kenyans,” a close associate of the president told the Daily Nation.
