Three family members, including a mother, her son and her husband, died within three days, while their last child died a week before them.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Elly Otieno, a neighbor of the family, said that the pregnant mother gave birth to a child who luck bad died one day after his birth.

The Siaya family died in a confusing environment

According to Otieno, she was bleeding profusely after giving birth, but she cannot confirm if that is what caused her death suddenly.

“The woman was bleeding profusely, but no one knows if that is what caused her death,” he explained.

He further noted that the family's 10-year-old son woke up sick the next day but did not manage to see the sun as he also died.

“His son, who is 10 years old, fell ill suddenly and died a day after he was declared dead,” the neighbor added.

Grief-stricken by a sudden death in his family, the woman's husband fell ill, showing the same symptoms as his son.

What killed the Ugenya family?

Otieno said that the entire house was left with only two children: the man's first child and his estranged first wife and his wife's daughter.

There are many theories about what caused the death of an entire family in less than two weeks.

The neighbor reported that the villagers say the mysterious deaths are linked to the disregard of traditional customs and laws.

Others say they were poisoned, bewitched or cursed.

“Father and son showed similar symptoms, opening and closing their eyes to funny and all of them could not speak to explain what was happening to them,” he said.

However, no medical report had been issued to confirm the cause of death of the four members of the family. Moreover, they were all buried on the same day, Saturday, November 2.
