Nakuru – CCTV footage has emerged showing the moment a suspected thief stole a nine-month-old baby.

Video shared by KTN showed how the suspect lured a group of young children with sticks.
How the Nakuru child suspect raped the children and stole the baby
It is said that the woman took the children to the restaurant and bought them strips so that they would believe her.
He then gave them money to buy the pieces, staying behind with the little boy he intended to steal.
The children agreed to leave the child without worry, but they found the woman and the child sand having disappeared when they returned.
The incident left 18-year-old Maureen Gesare, the mother of the missing child, heartbroken.
A mother's worst nightmare
Gesare, a young mother living in Rhonda area, Nakuru, had started her day as usual.
He recounted the last moments of peace he shared with his son before going to work, watching him sleep and wake up.
Believing that her child would be safe at home, she asked her elder sister to look after the child.
However, while Maureen was away, an unknown woman stole the baby and disappeared.
Gesare's request for help to reunite with a lost child
In a heartbreaking video, Gesare described the shock and fear she felt when she realized her son was missing.
He sought help from neighbors, who remembered seeing the stranger with a child at a local restaurant but could not say where the woman went next.
Heartbroken, scared, and fearing for her child's safety, she filed a report with the local police.
Gesare is asking the public for help in finding her son and identifying the woman involved.
“I just want my baby back,” she pleaded. “If anyone knows anything, please help us.”
Police are asking anyone with information about the woman or where the child is to come forward.
At the same time, residents are reminded to be careful, especially in protecting children from strangers.
