Nairobi – President William Ruto he has mysteriously created his former deputy while emphasizing the need for the unity of the entire nation.
In his speech during the swearing in of Kithure Kindiki to replace the deposed vice president Rigathi GachaguaRuto stressed the need to treat all Kenyans equally.
Gachagua has been heavily criticized for defending the interests of Mount Kenya while some leaders say he does not have the qualifications to be a national leader.
However, in his speech, Ruto stressed the need to have an attitude of national unity when performing the duties of all government officials.
“As I told our chief secretaries, as I told the Ministers and as I tell every public servant, who has the duty, who has the honor to serve our nation, let us serve the citizens of Kenya and the Republic of Kenya. We are not here to serve ourselves or our families or our communities or our regions or our villages,” he said.
