Nyeri – Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has confirmed that he will not take into account his expulsion from office.
His replacement, Kithure Kindiki, was sworn in at a historic ceremony on Friday, November 1, at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), Nairobi.
Gachagua was not seen at the event.
What Gachagua said after Kindiki was sworn in
He spoke through his official social media pages shortly after the inauguration of Kindiki.
Gachagua explained his activities apart from Nairobiseeming to enjoy being with his close family and the tranquility of the environment in their home.
Avoiding talking about recent political changes, the former Deputy President gave a hint of his new activities and things he likes outside of power in Nairobi.
Gachagua revealed that he will be spending his time walking in nature and enjoying the scenery Mount Kenya.
“Home Is Home! I thank God for the gift of my family. The smell of fresh grass, the chirping of birds, is what a happy family needs. I will forever be grateful to God for giving me a loving and supportive family. We are happy to be at home, where I was born and raised! I can't wait in the morning to take my walk in Hombe Forest, enjoy the beautiful view of Mt Kenya while thanking God for his goodness. God Bless Kenya,” he said.
Gachagua's social media updates came shortly after his former boss, the President William Rutoto make underground accusations against him, seeming to blame him for his incompetence during the two years he was in office.
What he said about Gachagua
Addressing the nation during Kindiki's inauguration, Ruto revealed that he has been strengthening the work of the National Administration without the help of his former deputy.
The President also pointed out that Gachagua he was not faithful to her.
He said he felt that he was serving in the presidency alone despite having a deputy who was supposed to be his main aide.
In an apparent appeal to Kindiki, Ruto asked him to use his eloquence, his competence as a professor and his knowledge to sensitize Kenyans about the government's agenda and plans.
The President also accused Gachagua of promoting ethnic and regional politics during his leadership.
