In an interview with K24 on Friday, October 25, Manduku revealed that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominated Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed as a candidate for the position of Minister of Interior.

He noted that the decision ultimately rests with President William Ruto, who has the final say on the appointment.

Manduku revealed that earlier ODM proposed the governor of Fever Bay and ODM chairman Gladys Wanga to be the deputy president.

“We have preceded Junet Mohamed. It is the right of the president to decide. Just as we gave Governor Wanga the title of Deputy President, but it did not work, and we have given the name of Junet Mohamed to the Minister of the Interior. It may work or not. The final right belongs to Mr. President,” Manduku said.
