A recent Leeway Africa (LARA) poll indicates that the majority of Kenyans oppose the removal of the charges. The survey, conducted between October 18 and 24 in all 47 counties using Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI), shows that 78.2% of respondents do not support the removal of Gachagua.
Why some Kenyans do not support the removal of Gachagua
The poll sampled 53% male and 47% female respondents, who expressed concern that his ouster was a distraction from more important issues, particularly the economic challenges of Kenya.
Many felt that the removal of the vice president was not urgent and strictly justified.

This is after only 35.6 percent of Kenyans expressed their belief that the country is heading in the right direction.
