The company of Wells Fargo Security Services mourns the death of Willis Ayieko Onyango, Group Human Resources Director, following his brutal murder.
Ayieko, who has served in the company since 2015, was highly respected for his leadership and dedication to strengthening the People's Affairs department and the organization as a whole.
The controversy surrounding his death has caused a great shock in the company and in the security sector Kenyan police in general.
Wells Fargo expressed their deep sorrow at the tragic loss of a man whose professionalism, love, and positive attitude inspired all who worked with him.
“Willis brought immeasurable charisma and energy to the HR department, driving positive change and elevating the team,” Wells Fargo said in the heartfelt tribute.
Ayieko was remembered as a dear friend with a good sense of humor and a strong attitude.
His colleagues said they liked him because he was a gentleman, he interacted with his younger siblings without discrimination and it was also easy to reach him.
As they face such a great loss, they remember him for his leadership and success, kindness, generosity of spirit, and commitment to excellence.
“He was more than a colleague, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched,” read part of the statement.
While the investigation into the circumstances of his murder continues, the company has called for swift justice.
What happened to Willis Ayieko?
Ayieko left Nairobi Friday, October 18, and attended the funeral at Gem, only to disappear after that.
It is believed that he got stuck on his way back home after missing another event he was supposed to attend Kakamega the next day.
After several days of searching, his body was found dumped in a river in Gemseveral days after he was reported missing.
His death has shocked colleagues, friends, and family, who are pushing for justice.
CCTV showed two men dumping Ayieko's car
Meanwhile, the police are trying to establish the identity of the two men who were seen dumping Ayieko's car.
CCTV footage showed the men parking the car before walking quietly.
An orange pick-up car was dumped near a gas station in Sabatia a few days after the man went missing.
