The Kenyan man, identified as Basil, said he was upset after realizing that his friend, who had sought the services of a healer, had lost a large sum of money and was struggling to move on with life.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Basil said that he could not let the matter be forgotten and he decided to trap the traditional healer in order to recover KSh 80,000.
“I used a different number to contact him and pretended to be looking for his services. I was in regular contact with him, so I knew his voice. He gave me directions to his place of work Kituiand I decided to go with my friends,” he narrated.
Invading Kitui's Healer's House
Basil was shocked to discover that his workplace was in a residential house, which he invaded.
“I wanted to arrive unexpectedly and confront him, but he had his men at the gate who informed him, so he escaped before I got to the door,” he said.
He walked into his strange workspace and found strange jars filled with people's names and pictures.
“The place was very dark, and all his equipment was on the floor. We saw papers with people's names written on them and also pictures in strange jars. I informed the owner of the house about the witchcraft activities that were going on without his knowledge” he explained.
The landlord claimed that he did not know that his female tenant was practicing witchcraft in his rented apartments.
Basil and his friends did not give up in search of the healer, and they went around the area.
“Although neither my friend nor I knew the guy, we could recognize his voice from frequent past contacts. We were lucky to find him hiding in a hotel, and I asked him to return my friend's money or face the law,” said Basil.
The healer was afraid to face the authorities, and returned the money.
“I know many people say I should have been afraid because I entered the witch doctor's cave. But I am a Christian, raised with very strong values. I am not afraid of witch doctor. I am happy that my friend finally got his money,” he said.
