The two were scheduled to discuss national issues, but Kioni left suddenly studio, citing Maalim's previous comments.

Kioni faced the remarks of Maalim who allegedly killed 5,000 young people Kenya during the anti-government protests.

He expressed his displeasure with Maalim's previous position and announced that he will not participate in the debate if Maalim is implicated.

“Go on. I can't stay with someone like that,” Kioni said as he gathered his things and left the studio angrily.

Speaking to journalists outside the buildings, Kioni explained that he was deeply moved by the deaths of Gen Z demonstrators earlier this year during anti-government protests.

He criticized Maalim for his alleged remarks, saying that holding a debate with Daadab's representative would be humiliating him.

“I cannot sit and discuss with Farah Maalim when he took the opportunity to kill 5000 Gen Zs in this country. That is why we are losing this country; because of people who have no character, and we call them leaders, national leaders. .I cannot lower myself to the level of discussing with him.

The killing of Gen Zs hurts me to this day. Why did we have to kill the youth; by saying they want school fees, food, they want health and then you bring a person of that character to discuss. I'm in charge of the best things,” Kioni said enthusiastically.

How does Kioni think Maalim should be punished

In addition, Kioni wanted Maalim to be removed from parliament, accusing him of lacking the morals to hold that position.

He also encouraged Kalonzo Musyoka's party led by Wiper Party to do more and help restore Maalim to power despite the challenges.

Kioni agreed that the system is against political parties in dealing with errant MPs, pointing out that he had the same challenges as Jubilee.

“Indeed, he should be removed from the parliament; he should have been returned to the parliament but for William Ruto we will have people of this type until the day comes when we get rid of them all; the driver, the passenger and the Farahs died. .The Wiper party needs to do more and remove him from parliament. But you also know that it is very difficult for the political parties in Jubilee Ruto to remove these MPs from the system that protects them,” Kioni added as he left.
