This was seen as a ploy to fool netizens, given that the photo had gone viral.

In a new development, Luck has reposted the old photo and explained why he uploaded it in June.
He apologized for posting the photo in June and clarified that he had no malicious intent.
“In June 2024, I posted a photo of Victor Wanyama and Diana Marua on my social media accounts. I take this opportunity to apologize for any harm caused. I did not have any bad intentions. I look forward to further good relations and cooperation in the future,” Bahati wrote those words under the photo that showed Diana and Wanyama in the same car.
