- The year 2024 has been unlucky for Wells Fargo Human Resources Manager Willis Ayieko
- In March, he survived an accident on the Southern Bypass while driving his orange car
- Seven months later, he disappeared after attending a funeral in Gem, the same car was found abandoned in Sabatia
Willis Ayieko, Human Resource Manager of Wells Fargo who went missing last Friday, survived death just seven months before his sudden disappearance.
The Human Resources Manager, whose whereabouts are unknown after attending Gem's funeral, survived a road accident earlier this year.
Ayieko survived a road accident in March
In a Facebook post he shared at the time, Ayieko described the horrific incident and expressed gratitude for recovering from the accident.
“God is merciful, gracious, and compassionate. If it wasn't like that, the alarm would have been rung for me!” he wrote.
He shared photos of his badly damaged pick-up, the same car he was driving when he went missing.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Evans, Ayieko's nephew, revealed that the accident happened on the Southern Bypass Road in the city Nairobi.
Why Ayieko was Western Kenya?
His disappearance has left family and friends even more worried, given how he survived a needle stick a few months ago.
Ayieko left Nairobi on Friday afternoon to attend Gem's funeral but he did not come to the activity in Kakamega the next day.
Despite the ongoing investigation, his phone has been switched off since then, and there are no signs of him being found.
The family said that they believe his disappearance could be related to his work, especially following the layoffs of employees in the companies he managed.
Where was Ayieko's car abandoned?
A few days after he was reported missing, CCTV footage showed his orange pick-up truck abandoned near Sabatia gas station, but there was no sign of him.
Detectives from the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) processed the vehicle and are following up on leads as the family clings to hope.
“We pray for his safety. We hope the authorities will find him soon,” Evans added.
As investigations continue, Ayieko's disappearance has drawn the attention of many who wish for her safe return.
