“Everybody Be Sweeped To Her”: Frida Mwaka Silences Marketers Asking Questions About Her Marriage

The main presenter of the television station of NTV Frida Mwaka has answered frequent questions about why she doesn't wear her wedding ring.

In an interview with Brian Obuya, the Kiswahili journalist recounted his journey to fame and thanked those who helped him along the way.

He also denied claims that he and his fellow news anchor, Lofty Matambo, are lovers, while speaking fondly about their friendship. When asked why he doesn't have a wedding ring, he said,

“Rings get lost. Rings make people allergic. Who said we all have to wear rings? Every day I say, everyone should clean their part. When you finish cleaning your house, go get the trash, throw it away and start cleaning again. Many people like to interfere in private lives. It's not a bad thing. But I've never gone out in public to say this is my husband, and these are my children.”

Frida added that she has reasons to keep her married life private despite being a famous person in the public eye.

“My family and I are fine. And if it's something I've never brought before your eyes, I don't know why you want to know so much,” he added.

He denied claims that media people cannot maintain marriages and added that many journalists enjoy their marriages.

In another separate report, Lofty shared a video of himself watching his roommate Frida read the news at home.
