Ongoya, through his legal representatives, identified 48 fake accounts on X (formerly Twitter), seven on Facebook, and three on TikTok.

These accounts are allegedly used to spread false or damaging information, misleading the public.

Some usernames on X claim to represent Ongoya as a lawyer and senior lecturer at Kabarak Law School.

“Our client has noted that after appearing before the Senate of the country to represent the vice president in the ongoing constitutional process, several social media accounts have been created by people unknown to our client. These accounts have been created in the name of our client or under other names but and a picture of our client's face. Some of these accounts are posting information that is completely incompatible with our client's philosophy of life,” the letter, witnessed by TUKO.co.ke, said.

What does Ongoya want about those fake accounts?

Ongoya is now calling for a full investigation into the IP addresses linked to the fake accounts, urging the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) to block them directly or cooperate with the police to remove them.
