Where was Yussuf Hussein's body found?
On Sunday, October 20, his dismembered body was found dumped in Lake Yahud, Wajir County, more than a month since he went missing.
KTN News reported that the body showed signs of severe torture, the nose and ears had been cut off, the eyes had been removed, and there were signs of severe burns.
There was grief after his family identified the body in the local mortuary.
After the family identified the body, they went straight to the funeral, with hundreds of residents attending the sad funeral of the county representative.
What the judge told the IG of Police about Yussuf Ahmed
Earlier, the High Court ordered the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to bring to court Yussuf Ahmed, the missing Wajir County Member of Parliament.
On Thursday, September 26, Judge Alexander Muteti directed Kanja to bring Ahmed to court on Friday, September 26, by four o'clock in the morning or give information about his whereabouts if he is in their hands.
His cousin Yussuf wanted the court to intervene to force the IG and DCI bring him to court.
Who kidnapped Yussuf Ahmed?
Through lawyer Danstan Omari, Abdikadir Abdullahi sued him on behalf of Yussuf, saying the politician disappeared from the South B area since the night of September 13 after being forced out of a taxi.
Peter Wambua, a Faras program driver, claimed that he picked up Ahmed from South C on September 13 and they were heading towards Pangani Heights when a white and black colored Toyota Landcruiser blocked the road.
He said it was around 2:20 p.m. a customer's order from South C.
Wambua added that when they got to Enterprise Road, two Prado cars stopped his car, and then five masked men showed their guns and forced him MCA from the taxi.
