“On August 30 in Kisumu, security officers tried to poison my food. When we were in Kisumu, secret agents entered my room and raided it. One of them tried to poison my food but we found out and escaped the plan,” Gachagua said.

The second case happened in the county of Painwhere Secret Service officials tried to poison his food.

According to Gachagua, the motion to expel him was Ruto's last card after attempts to kill him failed.

“On September 3, another team from the National Intelligence Service came to Nyeri and tried to poison the food that was meant for me and the council of elders Kikuyu.

“I reported this matter to NIS and asked the officers assigned to my office to leave because I felt unsafe. After the two assassination attempts failed, that's when this motion to expel him was founded,” Gachagua said.
