What is Rigathi Gachagua suffering from?

The Deputy President was rushed to Karen Hospital on Thursday afternoon, October 17, after falling ill suddenly.

Speaking in the Senate, Attorney General Paul Muite revealed that he was able to speak with the doctors who were treating the Deputy President.

According to Muite, the Deputy President was hospitalized after experiencing severe chest pain. The veteran lawyer added that Gachagua's doctors advised him to rest for a while.

“I would like to inform the honorable senators that I was able to contact the doctors of the Karen Hospital, and because of his condition, I could not speak to him directly due to the advice of the doctors who told him to rest completely at this time. However, I was informed by his doctors that for now He is suffering from severe chest pain. I didn't want to ask more than that.” said Muite.

Muite urged Speaker Amason Kingi to suspend the hearings of the case to remove Gachagua from power until another date.

When Gachagua's doctor, Dr Dan Gikonyo, was addressing the media from Karen Hospital, his two sons, Kevin and Keith, were standing behind him.
