Why has Mengi Mutuse gone?

Wednesday, October 16, during the impeachment trial Rigathi Gachaguathe presenter of the motion, Mwengi Mutuse, seemed to be challenged in defending his case against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

During the investigation, Gachagua's legal team, led by lawyer Elisha Ongoya, strongly opposed the argument presented by Mutuse.

In his opening speech, Ongoya described the allegations as ranging from “false” to “ridiculous” and even “shameful.”

“Things may be heating up but look at the document, calm down and read. How many shares are there in the Vipingo Beach Company?” Ongoya asked him.

He reviewed the list of 22 companies mentioned by Mutuse, where the MP said that they did not have major issues and many of them.

Video clips from the incident went viral on social media, with many questioning Mutuse's motives.

Is Mutuse married?

The young MP is married and has two children.

Although he likes to keep his family away from the public eye, Mutuse shared pictures of his beautiful children with his wife in August 2022 after winning the Kibwezi West parliamentary seat.

Mutuse posted a photo holding his certificate with his lovely wife, who was wearing a long red dress and black rubber shoes.

The couple were all smiles as they posed for pictures, and in her thank you post, she thanked her family, friends, and the voters of her state for believing in her and supporting her.

“I would like to thank my family, friends, priests, teachers, women, youth, and all the residents of Kibwezi West for their support. The campaigns are over. I will be the leader of all. We will have a participatory and consultative leadership. I promise leadership that focuses on development. Your vote must make sense by changing the standard of living in your area.

I invite national and county governments, development partners, non-governmental stakeholders, organizations, and well-wishers to partner with us in our vision of rapid and dramatic development. At the national level, we will play our responsibilities effectively and purposefully as stipulated under Article 95 of the Constitution and other relevant laws,” he wrote.
