RevBantu shared a video on TikTok showing the owner trying to calm the crowd that had gathered around the luxury car.

The Land Cruiser driver tried to calm the angry crowd

The conflict started following a road accident in which two couples tragically lost their lives on the Ruaka-Ndenderu Road.

In the video, the visibly shaken Land Cruiser owner apologizes to the angry group.

Despite his efforts to explain the situation, the crowd, seemingly unmoved, set fire to the car with petrol.

The car caught fire while people who witnessed it recorded the incident with their phones.

Kenyans online condemned the culture of destruction

Social media platforms have been flooded with comments on the video, with many calling for calm and condemning the brutal destruction of property.

How did the Ruaka accident happen?

Details show that the accident happened when a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 worth 27 million shillings hit the couple while they were trying to cross the road.

Angry residents gathered in the area, blocking the road and causing heavy traffic to protest against the rampant accidents in the area.

The angry crowd smashed and burnt the luxury car, blaming the government for failing to address road safety issues.
