The ongoing Senate session on the Vice President Rigathi Gachagua It has raised rib-breaking memes on the internet.
What happened at the hearing of the Gachagua case?
Kibwezi Member of Parliament WestMwengi Mutuse, who presented the motion, was in the hot seat while lawyer Elisha Ongoya questioned him.
Gachagua is facing 11 charges, and Ongoya called the evidence presented absurd and embarrassing.
At one point, Ongoya mocked the MP after he seemed unable to read the documents in front of him.
“I know things are hot here, but look at the document, calm down and read it. How much are the total shares in the Vipingo Beach Company?” Ongoya asked.
He looked at the list of 22 companies mentioned by Mutuse, and the MP said that they did not have major problems with most of them.

Also, Ongoya objected to Gachagua's claims of accumulating assets of KSh 5.2 billion since he came into power in 2022.
Mutuse confirmed that he arrived at these figures through his calculations.
Mutuse's difficulties in answering the questions led to jokes on the internet, while Kenyans enjoyed the antics.
“I mean, someone says Mutuse is his pillar, man?” wondered a Kenyan.
“At this stage, Mutuse's only option is to pass out,” wrote another.
