Kenyans woke up to the sad news of the death of Super Metro's favorite makanga Gerald Mwangi, aka Mwas.

That unit died at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) on the evening of Thursday, October 11, a few days after being involved in a road accident.

Sources informed TUKO.co.ke that the deceased died after his organs stopped working shortly after one of his legs was amputated.

His last touching post was on Instagramwhere he spoke of hope in the new month of September.

In the message, Mwas posted a photo of himself in work clothes, looking in the mirror while stroking his beard.

“September is the month of new beginnings and fresh starts, a time to pursue new goals.”

What was Super Metro's urgent need before his death?

His death came shortly after a public appeal for blood was made to save his life.

His employer revealed that he needed blood group B positive and provided contact.

Until his death, Mwas was working as a conductor of the Super Metro Sacco, whose vehicles travel in the area Nairobi.

The deceased was loved by Sacco customers due to his attractive clothes and good manners.

Known by the nickname 'Makanga Bae,' the deceased decided to be among the Super Metro workers due to poverty and the lack of alternative work.

He has left his lover, whom he often mentioned but remained a secret.

He revealed that he has a degree, and his mother strongly opposed his desire to work as an untingo.

Mwas said he became a conductor due to poverty and the lack of other alternative jobs.

His mother finally accepted the job after he started earning.

Mwas also revealed that he has a boyfriend, but he noted that this did not stop him from receiving lines from women who were attracted to him.
