Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Rastus Mutea's brother, Kendi, noted that his younger sister returned home to collect their late mother's national identity card, saying she was planning to get a passport.

Mutea said they later found out Kendi had a boyfriend white man after failing to call or communicate with them.

He says they even thought he lost his phone, but never heard from him again.

The distraught relative said they reported her missing at the Nairobi police station, but were recently advised to do the same in Mombasa to help improve their search.

He also said they went to look for Mtwapa when he disappeared, but his neighbors said he moved to an unknown location.

In addition, Kendi's brother said that people spread all kinds of rumors about his disappearance.

“People spread a lot of rumours; some say she joined some cult, others say she got pregnant and lost a child, others say she traveled to Germany with a European lover, others say she got rich, but we don't know what the truth is,” Mutea noted.

Despite all these rumors, the family maintains that they just want to confirm that he is alive and safe.

His father is hidden

“Dad is always sick, he is 71 years old and if we tell him the truth it could hurt him. He knows Kendi is in Mombasa although it bothers him that he has not seen his last born for the past seven years,” he noted.

The family is currently running publications to spread the word about him, hoping that he will eventually be found.

They are also seeking help in locating their loved one, and anyone with information on their whereabouts can contact them on 0703670865 or 0710776758.

Ann is a student at the Technical College of NIBSRuiru and is said to have switched off his phone along with his close friends.

Maryanne Waithera, his mother, told TUKO.co.ke since he lives near Ruiru school and far from home, it is more difficult to determine the exact date of his disappearance.
