Nakuru's Mama Mboga Blames William Ruto About Campaign Lies: “Now He's Stealing Our Bottom Up”

While running for office, Ruto promised to focus his policies on the welfare of ordinary citizens.

Speaking in Nakuru on Saturday, October 5, during the ongoing public engagement on the removal of the Deputy President Rigathi Gachaguaa small businessman criticized the president for breaking his promises.

An aggrieved Damaris Waithera said things have become worse than before Ruto took office and that businesses are struggling to survive.

“I am just disgusted with the president when he is looking for votes for us, he promised us moms and boda bodas that he would look after our affairs, since then we have been left to be exploited but he promised to help us. lift us up through the bottom up model; apparently he meant to overthrow us to take our money,” he said.

Waithera maintained that if Gachagua has to go, then he should accompany the president as both of them bear the heavy burden of their administration's failure.

He added that the deputy president contributed to Ruto's victory in the presidency and therefore they cannot allow him to be humiliated.

“We gave him our votes because of Gachagua…If Rigathi has to leave, they all have to go home,” he said.
