Why did Onyango's mother oppose his idea of ​​building an underground house

Kevin Onyango built a beautiful underground house for his family to avoid land scarcity, among other reasons, since he was given a small plot of land.

The 30-year-old father of three claimed he saw the design of his beautiful home in a dream and drew it and then built it.

“It was not easy to fulfill that dream, I faced many challenges before starting to build this house, when I talked to my mother she objected, she said she had never seen a house like that and she tried to discourage me. I should not continue with those plans, he added that he could not stop me from doing what I wanted, but not like that,” he said.

Onyango's house is supported by heavy post beams, and there was no evidence of concrete being used anywhere in the building.

At first, his wife also did not agree with Onyango's plans, but she could not convince him to change his decision.

“He was afraid that he had never seen such a house, but I assured him that I will make it habitable and that if God helps me, I will improve it,” Onyango from Boro Nango village, Butula constituency, Busia county participated.
