Two Kenyan film producers selected for film business lab

Audrey Tanya and Noelle Luka have been selected for the 4th edition of the Durban FilmMart Institute (DFMI) Business Lab.

The two are among 30 filmmakers selected from across Africa to participate in the annual lab which forms part of the DFMI year-round programme.

“The DFMI Business Lab is a 14-week online business skills development programme, aimed at nurturing and empowering producers with the necessary skills to engage in a global market effectively,” the institute said.

“The lab will focus on modules such as Financial management, Fundraising, Coproduction, Business management, IP & Entertainment Law and PR & Distribution.”

The programme is presented in partnership with DW Akademie and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The online programme will run until January 2025.
