Nairobi – Political activist Morara Kebaso is currently hospitalized in a health center in the city after he found himself in the middle of violence at the Bomas of Kenya.
Morara entered the hall where public participation was held regarding the proposed motion to remove the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua you were going on.
When they saw him, the organizers of the event began to accuse him of trying to take the opportunity to speak forcefully at the event.
Morara had tried to address the audience but was denied the opportunity, with operators claiming he was there to disrupt the meeting.
“Young man, we're not going to let you disrupt this meeting. Everyone has an opinion,” one was heard saying.
Some attendees started throwing chairs at Morara, who huddled in a corner begging for shelter before being quickly removed from the area.
Speaking after the incident, Morara complained about the torture he suffered.
He revealed that he forced his way inside after he was prevented from entering the Bomas gate.
“I was prevented from entering Bomas at the gate. When I finally entered, I was denied a microphone in the hall of Bomas. The violence started. I am hurt. I am going to the hospital. I will live to speak another day,” he said on X.
Public participation to remove Gachagua took place across the country on Friday.
