Political analyst Dismus Mokua opined that the DP should hold public office in the future if he resigns.

“The resignation will inoculate him against being barred from holding public office in the future. This option allows him to reflect on and develop political capital for 2027 or to prepare for a career outside of politics,” Mokua explained.

Mokua also noted that Gachagua can also start a war in parliament. However, he does not have that number, as 291 MPs supported his motion to be removed from power.

The DP has also decided to increase public appearances and social media campaigns to be loved by Kenyans.
