Kisii: A 55-year-old man was found dead in the river after buying medicine

Kisii – An old man whose last place was a pharmacy has been found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Joseph Odongo left his home for a short while to buy medicine at a nearby pharmacy.

When did Joseph Odongo leave his home?

According to his brother, Otieno, he left home on Friday evening, September 27, but did not return.

The grieving man remembered finding out about his brother's death after searching for him for several hours.

“According to the pharmacy owner, he bought medicine and was given change before he left. My wife always delivers food to him, and when he went to his house and did not find him, he asked me if I had contacted him. I called him several times, but there was no answer. After a while, the phone was switched off,” he said.

Otieno visited a hospital in Kisii

The search for the 55-year-old man began with Otieno visiting several hospitals and morgues. He was informed that a man's body was found in the river and he was asked to confirm if it might be his brother's.

“When I got here, I found the body of my brother dead. I ask the government to intervene and investigate what happened to my brother. He had a mark on the back of his head, a big mark,” Otieno from Kisii explained.
