Tanzania – A young man sadly lost his life after being run over by a bus while he was sleeping.
Barakael Matayo was resting near the bus at night, and to luck bad, he lost his life early.
The 29-year-old man did not hear when the Abood Arusha bus driver got on the bus and started driving because he was asleep.
His friends had urged him to stay away from the car, but he didn't heed the advice.
Abood Arusha Bus Manager warns against the use of drugs
“This event has brought great sadness to the residents and the area. According to report, the young man was a little drunk, and he was confident that he would wake up when the driver arrived, but that did not happen. The driver didn't see him when he started the bus and started to leave the station” said the Abood Arusha Bus manager.
He urged the youth to avoid the use of drugs that can lead to early death as happened to their colleague.
The manager noted that he will work closely with the family of the deceased to ensure that the young man gets a dignified burial following the accident.
A man dies in an accident Thika Road involving Range Rover
In another story, two people died on Thika road near Garden City after the Range Rover they were traveling in hit the back of a truck on Sunday, September 8.
Unconfirmed reports claimed that the Range Rover was speeding on the road before the tragic incident.
One of the dead was 21-year-old Brian Mwangi, who was on his way home after helping to organize equipment at the church when he met his death.
Susan Kihara Muratha shared an emotional message on Facebook mourning the young man who passed away.
