On Tuesday, October 1, the Wiper senator filed a motion to discuss the actions of the head of state, claiming that he has violated the constitution.

In that argument, Maanzo accused Ruto of failing to address important issues and challenges facing Kenyans.

In his motion, the senator wants Ruto to be challenged against the way he treated protesters recently during the anti-government protests in Nairobi.

Maanzo argued that the president failed to protect the lives of Kenyans during the anti-government protests despite being the Chairman of the National Security Council.

'' CONCERNING THAT Article 25(a) (c) provides basic rights and freedoms that CANNOT be limited; the right to freedom from torture and cruelty, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, the right to a fair trial in light of recent incidents of abduction, torture and disappearance of Kenyans,'' Maanzo said in that argument.

The Wiper senator went on to claim that the Ruto administration has crippled devolution by failing to ensure the provision of equal shares to the counties on time to facilitate service delivery.

Why does Maanzo want Ruto to be married in office?

Previously, the Makueni senator claimed that the motion to dismiss Ruto would be presented if his deputy Rigathi Gachagua he will be removed from office.

Speaking on Citizen TV on Monday, September 23, the Wiper senator argued that Ruto and Gachagua were elected together, and if the removal of the DP succeeds, they will present another one to bring the president home.

According to Maanzo, the second head is being unfairly targeted by the Union MPs Kenya First.

The senator said that Gachagua has not done anything wrong that could justify his impeachment.

The Wiper senator argued that Ruto had violated the 2010 Constitution more and should be removed, not Gachagua.
