Nairobi – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has once again failed to attend an event attended by President William Ruto.

Ruto and Gachagua have not shared the platform a few times since the beginning of the movement to impeach the vice president.

On Wednesday, October 2, the deputy president was not present when Ruto presided over the opening of the Magical Show Kenya Travel Expo 2024 at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.

Gachagua was also not present at the State House meeting where Ruto hosted East African Community (EAC) Secretary General Veronica Nduva and other regional officials to discuss setting up digital institutions in the region.

In his speech at Uhuru Park, the president avoided mentioning the plight of his deputy, whose job is now in jeopardy after the motion to remove him from power was officially presented in the National Assembly.

Ruto's silence on the case against his deputy has led many people to conclude that he supports the motion.

How Gachagua ignored Ruto's event in Nyeri

Earlier, the division of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration emerged during Ruto's visit to Nyeri county.

On Sunday, September 15, the president attended a church service at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA), Midwest Diocese, Nyeri county.

However, Gachagua was absent from Ruto's event, despite being there Pain it's his home county.
