Four MPs from Migori have abandoned their plans to sack Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua
The four, most of them ODM allies, accuse Gachagua of favoring the region Mount Kenya at the expense of other regions.
They said they will not hesitate to vote in support of the motion to remove him from power when it reaches Parliament.
Migori – Some MPs from Migori county have announced that they support the impeachment plan facing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Led by Nyatike MP Tom Odege, the MPs claim it is the right time to show Gachagua the door for allegedly promoting tribalism.
Why will Migori MPs support the dismissal of Gachagua?
Odege claimed that since he was elected, DP has focused his efforts in Mlima area Kenyasetting aside other parts of the country.
“Gachagua set traps for us and boasted about it, but now he is caught in his own trap. We will not let him escape,” the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) member of parliament told TUKO.co.ke.
“I will vote proudly for the removal of Gachagua without a doubt,” he added.
Awendo Member of Parliament Walter Owino had the same opinion.
Owino said he would support the motion to prosecute Gachagua because of his share ownership details.
“We cannot have a vice president who always keeps everything regional until he comes from, we don't care who or where the next vice president will come from, what we want is an integrated leader,” he said. .
The Member of Parliament who is also a partner of the ODM party, further warned the person who will take the post after the removal of Gachagua to avoid getting involved in tribalism and instead focus on promoting unity.
Other Migori MPs who have announced their support for Gachagua's removal include Suna West's Peter Masara and Suna East's colleague Junet Mohammed.
“We do not have any right to defend the leaders of Kenya First. If they want to send one of them home, we'll help them get them to the parking lot without a second thought. If the motion is presented, I will vote yes,” Masara said.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that the motion to fire Gachagua is ready, while those who supported it have given reasons to remove the DP from office.
Reports show that Kenya Kwanza MPs who are pushing for the removal of Gachagua have eight reasons for wanting Gachagua to be removed.
Among the charges is Gachagua, who is alleged to have demanded payment from President William Ruto for the Mount Kenya votes.
