Rigathi Gachagua Openly Alleges MPs Were Bribed KSh 5m To Remove Him: “Others Refused”

• Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua claimed that his opponents have decided to bribe MPs to support his motion to remove him from power
• Gachagua continued by saying that his opponents approached Kirinyaga Senator James Murango and gave him KSh 5 million
• He added that they also approached the Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina in an attempt to threaten her to support the motion for impeachment

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua he claimed that the MPs were given a bribe of KSh 5 million to sue him.

Who was bribed, according to Gachagua?

Gachagua explained that his enemies are ready to do anything, including bribing members of parliament to remove him from office.

Addressing a crowd of people in Mwea, County Kirinyagathe Deputy President claimed that Kirinyaga Senator James Murango was offered a bribe of KSh 5 million but he refused it.

According to Citizen Digital's report, Gachagua also claimed that Kirinyaga Women's Representative Njeri Maina was approached to support his motion to be acquitted but he refused.

“Njeri was called, and they tried to intimidate him by asking him to sign to press charges against me, but he refused. He was told to take Ksh. 5 million but he refused,” Gachagua said.

In the same public meeting, Gachagua grabbed the bull by its horns while fighting relentlessly with efforts to remove him from office.

The vice president gave harsh words against his boss, the President William Rutowho accused him of pushing for his removal from power.

Gachagua claimed the president was responsible for the plot.

While criticizing Ruto for firing behind the scenes, Gachagua reminded him that they were elected together and that the current administration would not rule the country if it were not for him (Gachagua).

This is happening while the motion to fire the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is being set.

Reliable sources explained that 242 MPs signed in support of the motion.

For the case to officially start, the motion to impeach the deputy president must be supported by at least one third of the parliamentarians (117).
