DJ Evolve has criticized police officers for the way they handled protesters who were protesting the 2024 Finance Bill.

This was after the Human Rights Group released a report showing the number of people killed during anti-government protests.
In an interview with Citizen TV, Evolve noted that many police officers do not know what it takes to survive a gunshot wound.
How DJ Evolve's life changed after he was shot
Mixmaster himself has been recovering after he was allegedly shot by a member of parliament, Grandpa Owinowhile at the club.
In his words:
“A lot has been going on especially when the police started shooting at people carelessly, they don't know the consequences of living with gunshot wounds, or if they do that, some of them don't know how to live after that, maybe they should ask. colleagues who have similar injuries, what does it take to recover from one or even what does it take to live with one before pulling the trigger, my brother, think about all those things.
When asked how his shooting experience has changed his life, Evolve said that it made him a hero in life.
“Whenever life knocks you down, always pick yourself up and keep moving forward. I've been through a lot in my life from childhood until now. I lived through the post-election violence until now. I wasn't in a normal school because of the school fees, but we did our best,” he added.

DJ Evolve hopes he will walk again
Evolve opened up about its progress a few days after the court decided that Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has a case to answer regarding the alleged misuse of firearms in a night club in the city Nairobi.
Speaking to TUKO.co.keDJ Evolve revealed that his condition is improving every day and that he can sit longer.
Evolve expressed more faith in God that he would recover completely and regain the use of his legs.
