Migori: Barobaro Accused of Telling Woman Representative She Should Get Married

One Barobao has been accused of sending abusive messages to the Women's Representative MigoriFatuma Zainabu Mohammed, asking him to marry her.

Vincent Otieno was brought before the Chief Magistrate of Milimani, Benmark Ekhubi, and denied the charges against him.

The prosecution said that on several occasions in September, Otieno sent the Migori representative abusive and degrading messages with the intention of defaming him and damaging his reputation.

According to the indictment seen by TUKO.co.ke, Otieno later posted the message on a Facebook group called Migori Republican Council (MRC).

He denied the charges while his lawyer, Edday Auma, asked for reduced bail conditions.

“My client is a young man who has a family; he is the only dependent. We ask this court not to punish him severely,” he asked.

Otieno was released on KSh 50,000 cash bail or KSh 100,000 bond.

2 men accused of threatening to kill Kimani Ichung'wah

Earlier, two men found themselves in trouble after making threats against the Member of Parliament Kikuyu Kimani Ichung'wah and former Minister of Finance, Njuguna Ndung'u.

The first defendant, Kelvin Wafula, used a WhatsApp account with the name @advokezadbiadboy to send a message to CS Ndung'u claiming he was old.

Meanwhile, the second defendant, Stephen Kamau, threatened Ichung'wah, saying he would cause a fatal accident that would result in Ichung'wah's death. The two were also accused of using abusive language against Ichung'wah and Ndung'u.

The two men were brought before Judge Rose Ndubi at the Milimani Court and denied all the charges against them.

The lawyer representing Kamau and Wafula asked the court to provide them with a small guarantee due to their low income status.

Ndubi gave the defendants cash bail of KSh 100,000 each, specifying their means of earning a regular income.
