Pastor Kidnapped By 4 Men After Female Partner Asks Him To Meet

  • When he arrived at the place where they were supposed to meet, he encountered four men who forced him into the car
  • After the kidnapping, the alleged criminals contacted Pastor Silozi's wife, demanding KSh 50,000 in compensation.

The police have rescued him Pasta aged 39, who was kidnapped by five suspected accomplices in his church.

The incident happened on July 14, around 18:30, at the Miracle of Fire International Ministries church.

According to Mwebantu, the police launched a successful rescue operation that led to the arrest of two suspects involved in the kidnapping.

Investigation revealed that Pastor Owen Silozi received a call from a female congregation asking to meet him at the church premises.

When he arrived, he was confronted by four men who forced him into a nearby car.

“Witnesses reported that the car, a white Toyota Allion, sped off towards Kafue road,” the deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale told the media.

Following the kidnapping, the alleged criminals contacted Pastor Silozi's wife, demanding that they be paid KSh 50,000 in compensation.

The call was the first part of the investigation as the police were notified and immediately began their investigation.

“Police officers managed to arrest the suspects and rescue the pastor who was found with a serious head injury,” Mr Mwale reported.

Among those arrested is Josephine Changwe, aged 58, a member of Pastor Silozi's church.

The suspects led the police officers to the house where the pastor was allegedly tortured.

The owner of the house, 25-year-old Kennedy Mubanga, was also arrested.

A manhunt has been launched to find three other suspects identified as Musonda Mushili, Emmanuel and Maureen Mwitumwa.
