“I have received many calls, including a call from Nakuru. One person told me that he had seen my daughter and asked me to send money so that he could send me a picture of my daughter. However, his phone switched off,” Wanja's father told Mwangaza TV Kenya.

The overjoyed father recounted the challenges he went through when his little daughter went missing.

He thought of taking his own life due to the stress he had, not knowing the condition of Wanja.

“I didn't do well at work. I was thinking about my daughter all day, every day,” he said with tears streaming down his face.

Wanja was sent to a children's shelter

Wanja was rescued by a church that took him to a children's shelter in Kiambu county while they were looking for his parents.

During that period, he received an education like other children in the program and was not deprived of anything.

Wanja's father contacted the police about his daughter and was very happy to see her after many months of not knowing her whereabouts.

Social media users praised God following the happy news of the union of a father and his daughter.
