Kericho – Governor Eric Mutai has asked the Kericho County Members of Parliament (MCAs) to release him in relation to the motion to remove him from power.
Why does Eric Mutai want MCAs not to remove him from power?
On Wednesday, September 25, the embattled Kericho governor asked MCAs and residents to forgive him over the motion to remove him from office.
Mutai pleaded MCA pardon him for the alleged accusations of serious violations of the constitution and offenses related to sexual matters.
In his apology, the Kericho governor pleaded with MCAs and residents to forgive him if he had done anything wrong while performing his duties.
According to Mutai, MCAs should consider that he is a husband and father of young children before approving the motion to remove him from power.
“I am asking the county assembly. I am also someone's son; I am a husband, a father, and a young family member. To the residents of the county, if I have done anything wrong, please forgive me. Members of the county assembly led by the leader of the majority that I have worked for and, please forgive me for the sake of the children,” Mutai cried.
