Kalonzo criticized the plans to fire Gachagua
During the memorial service for Hillside Endarasha Academy fire victims, Azimio leaders led by Kalonzo Musyoka, promised to stand with Gachagua.
The leader of the Wiper party said it is high time for Kenyans to remain united and avoid falling into the trap of politicians who plan to divide the country by firing Gachagua.
Kalonzo said the opposition coalition will be ready to defend Gachagua if his critics present a motion to fire him.
“We have a nation to create together. I don't like hypocrisy, there is tension in the country. Political tension. When the time comes, we will be there for the people of Pain. This country is bigger than all of us. Respect is very important in the country,” Kalonzo said on Thursday, September 26.
What did Eugene Wamalwa say about the dismissal of Gachagua
Leader of the Democratic Action Party of KenyaEugene Wamalwa, also promised to support Gachagua, saying they will not let the troubled vice president walk alone.
According to the Malwa, President William Ruto is interested in creating division within the Mt Kenya region.
“Those who plan to burn the mountain, I want to tell them that this mountain has friends. If you look for Kalonzo here, he is a mountain friend like me. I told Gachagua that there is a plan to divide the area Mount Kenya. When the day comes and the mountain calls us, we will stand with you. You will not walk alone,” The Malwa said.
Charges against Gachagua in the motion to fire him
