Nairobi – Police have launched an investigation following the shocking murder of a 36-year-old Indian man in Parklands.
Who is Sagar Panara?
Citizen Digital reported that Sagar Panara, an employee of MART Networks, was shot dead outside his residence on Tuesday, September 25.
According to police reports, Panara was shot while returning home from the Aga Khan Sports Club.
Detectives felt that the assailants followed Panara from the club while he was driving his Toyota Corolla before attacking him at the gate of his residence.
After a brief dispute, the assailants shot Panara in the neck below his right ear and escaped.
What message did the attackers leave Parklands?
Neighbors and police quickly responded to the gunshots and rushed Panara to the Aga Khan Hospital, where he died during emergency treatment.
At the scene, detectives found six threatening leaflets with the message, “Leave the land of Narokwe are done with Panara and Narok.”
Police are investigating whether relationship of the Panara family and a plot of land in Narok could be the reason for the brutal attack.
Was Somesh Ramesh killed?
Elsewhere, on Sunday, May 12, the body of Somesh Ramesh was found inside his car in a ditch along Ngecha Road in Nyari Street.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Ramesh left his home on Saturday, May 11, night after receiving calls from unknown persons, and his body was found the next day.
The 54-year-old Indian businessman, who was involved in the landscape design business in Nairobi, was found with three stab wounds: one in the chest and two in the thighs.
Investigators believe he was killed elsewhere and his body was taken to the area by unknown persons before being found by patrolling guards.
Ramesh's body is allegedly placed in the front seat of his car, and the car is driven to a ditch to make it look like an accident.
