One family in the county of Grow up is asking the government to help get justice after their brother was allegedly shaved with a kitchen knife by a police officer.

The incident happened after Mwendwa Muteti and the police officer got into an argument about a woman while they were drinking at a local bar on Monday, September 23.
NTV reported that the officer arrested Muteti, a boda boda driver, and took him to the Matiliku police station, where he proceeded to shave Muteti's head with a knife.
“He pulled my hair and started shaving me with a knife. I felt the knife cutting me. Then I asked him why he was cutting me. When he saw the blood flowing, he let me go and told me to go to the hospital,” said Muteti.
It is said that Muteti was rescued by his fellow boda boda drivers who had heard his cries of pain. They took him to Matiliku Hospital for treatment. The woman who allegedly caused the conflict said she had told the officer earlier that she did not want to have relationship with him.
“I rejected him,” said the woman.
The Chief of Matiliku confirmed that the police officer involved in the incident had been arrested and is awaiting arraignment.

In another incident, a DJ named Arnold Kamau narrated how a police officer broke into his house and assaulted him, allegedly due to suspicions of a lover.
The DJ said a police officer broke into his house by force on Sunday, September 1, and forced him out.
The officer started kicking and slapping the DJ, accusing him of being involved with his girlfriend.
As a result of the attack, Kamau suffered a swollen face and a broken arm. After the initial attack, the officer took Kamau to a bar and continued to beat him.
Kamau is currently seeking justice. He denies the allegations of being involved with the officer's girlfriend and insists they are just friends.
