Pointing out the difference between the way Gachagua was treated by Ruto during the Jubilee administration, Ahmednasir pointed out that the former president's allies Uhuru Kenyatta when they showed disrespect for Ruto, it was always obvious and public.

“When HE UHURU's grooms insulted his Deputy William Rutoit was public. Even Ministers like Fred Matiang'i and Tobiko never hid their disdain and contempt for Ruto. Now Deputy President Gachagua is telling Kenyans that he is being harassed by Ruto.” Mr. Ruto's groomsmen, and we, the public, have not heard anything in public,” he wrote.

What is the persecution against Gachagua called?

Known for his judicious and sharp legal opinions, Ahmednasir took the opportunity to inject legal details into the debate.

He questioned whether Gachagua's allegations are tantamount to slander, given that no public witness has come forward to support the allegations.

“So the deputy president Gachagua is being harassed privately…one by one and without witnesses? That abuse of the law is called scandal. In the law, harassment/arrangement is between two people and without witnesses, it is not harassment./slander instead becomes a quarrel. ..brouhaha,” said the lawyer.
