Kericho – Shock and sadness engulfed Eland Estate in Kericho town after a 32-year-old man killed his 30-year-old wife over a family dispute.
According to a police report seen by TUKO.co.ke, the man, identified as Cyrus Onkeo, strangled his wife, Fridah Nyaboke, after a fight on Saturday night, September 21.
How did Fridah Nyaboke die?
It was reported that after strangling his wife, Onkeo pushed her on the bed.
The next morning, the deceased took longer than usual to wake up, but Onkeo thought he was still upset about their fight the night before.
Later, Onkeo discovered his wife had passed away after trying to wake her up.
When he realized he had killed her, Onkeo went to the Kericho Police Station and informed the officers about the incident.
The police responded immediately, rushed to the scene and found the deceased lying on the bed without any injuries, although blood was coming from his mouth.
The body was removed and taken to the Kericho County Referral Hospital mortuary for safekeeping, pending an autopsy, while Onkeo was remanded in custody pending court appearance.

Meanwhile, the police in Rarieda sub-county launched an investigation into the brutal murder of Moses Oduor Mbeda, the assistant chief of Memba sub-county.
Mbeda was killed by unknown people in the early hours of Saturday, September 21, at his home.
According to the County Police Commander Siaya Serah Koki, the sad incident happened at about one o'clock in the morning when Mbeda went out of his house to use the pit toilet in his compound.
It was at this time that the assailants ambushed him, causing him serious injuries, especially cutting his neck badly.
Mbeda was rushed to the Lwak mission hospital in a serious condition but after being brought he died due to the serious injuries he was suffering.
