Artist Emmanuel Musindi Alia Suffers Despite His Hit Song Lero Ni Lero

The famous musician of Luhya songs Emmanuel Musindi has expressed that he is tired of the hard life that befalls artists, especially financially.

Speaking at an event attended by Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, Musindi asked Sudi to speak to the President William Ruto and ask about the money given to musicians.

Why is Emmanuel Musindi struggling?

The famous musician reiterated that many artists of Kenya they are struggling to make ends meet.

“Sir Oscar Sudiwe want to send you to our President William Ruto. Go ask about the money given to musicians. Artists are starving. We suffer because we don't have it,” Musindi said.

Musindi also lamented that despite the popularity of his song “Lero ni Lero,” which was popular during the 2022 political campaign by the United Declaration coalition, he feels unrecognized.

“I think I was the one who sang 'Lero ni Lero.' I'm like that, I've really been robbed,” he added.

How much money was Musindi paid to entertain Raila?

As previously reported by TUKO.co.ke, the singer gave an impressive performance at a political rally there Kakamega.

However, he later pointed the finger of blame at the organizers of the event for not rewarding him.

Musindi said he received an invitation to perform at the event from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) communications director Philip Etale.

Musindi said he sang the song to welcome the ODM party leader as soon as he arrived and asked him to perform it again before giving his speech.

The event was organized by the General Secretary of the Union of Trade Unions (COTU) Francis Atwoli.
