Kiambu – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned President William Ruto against enjoying plans to remove him from power.
Speaking at the service of the Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA) church in the city of ThikaSunday, September 22, Gachagua asked Ruto to bring unity within the UDA party amidst ongoing divisions.
How Gachagua warned him Ruto about plans to remove him from power
Gachagua told Ruto to avoid the politics of betrayal and fulfill his promise to ensure that his deputy is not disrespected, adding that if he cannot fulfill that promise, then he will not be treated fairly to be trusted with any other promise.

“I would like to ask my boss, President William Ruto, to be careful and do the right thing, and let's keep our house together. Let's not disrupt and let's not bring back the politics of betrayal,” Gachagua warned.
Gachagua said Ruto is the main beneficiary of the hatred of the people of Mount Kenya regarding the politics of betrayal, so he should avoid such betrayal.
The second in power leader warned the president that there will be consequences if he continues the politics of betrayal.
“Our people do not like betrayal, and they have no mercy if you betray them. I ask my brother not to be persuaded to go in that direction because these people will not forgive,” The Deputy President warned emphatically.

At the same time, the Majority Leader of the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung'wah, denied the allegations of plans to remove the Deputy President from power.
