Speaking in Siaya county on Saturday, September 21, Ichung'wah claims the impeachment debate was sparked by Gachagua himself.

According to Ichung'wah, MPs of Kenya First Union have never planned to fire the second in command.

The Kikuyu Member of Parliament claimed that Gachagua has been using the narrative of being removed from power to incite the residents of Mount Kenya against their MPs.

He also criticized Gachagua for wanting public sympathy after failing to defend the agenda of Kenya First.

“No one, not even the president or his deputy, should think that he can threaten the parliamentarians from doing their job. Motions to remove them are part of our management of government officials, and the DP is no exception, so is the president,” Member of Parliament Kikuyu he added.

Meanwhile, the deputy president said his removal cannot be initiated without the consent of his boss, President William Ruto.
