What the governor of Kiambu said about the death of Ezra Kabuga

The incident happened at 5.30 am on Sunday, September 22, when the member of parliament was traveling from Nairobi towards Thika Town.

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi posted the sad news on his social media page, describing Kabuga as a talented young leader.

“It is with a great sense of loss that I received the sad news of the death of the elected member of the County Assembly Hon. Ezra Kabuga Kihara. Kabuga was a smart and promising leader, whose dedication and passion to serve the people of Kiambu was evident in every aspect of his work,” Wamatangi said.

Wamatangi said Kabuga's work in the county assembly will be remembered as proof of his dedication.

“His work in the County Assembly and Kiambu will be remembered as proof of his commitment to bring about change. He was a friendly and generous person, always driven to improve the lives of those around him,” he added.

How one person died in an accident in Machakos

Elsewhere, one person was seriously injured after their car collided with a trailer from behind in Konza City, Machakos.

Two other people were injured when their pickup truck collided with a trailer from behind. Both cars were heading to Nairobi, and the deceased died at the scene.

The injured were transported to Machakos Hospital Level 5 for special treatment, and the vehicle was towed to the police station.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti said that Muumandu ambulance staff responded quickly to the scene and provided first aid to the injured.
