Nairobi – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced his intention to hold public meetings across the country to connect directly with Kenyans.

Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV, the Deputy President reiterated that it is important to inform the people who elected him about the state of affairs in the country.
He emphasized the need for transparency and communication with his followers, especially in light of ongoing political discussions, including rumors of his impeachment.
“It is not about suing Rigathi Gachagua; it is about what it will do for the country in terms of political stability. This is a DP who was elected by 7.2 million Kenyans who have supporters and some people who trust him. We have a country that has economic challenges, we have people who feel inferior, and then you want to come and bring poison into the political atmosphere, I don't think anyone wants to go in that direction.
The Deputy President expressed his concern about the bad political situation, which he says could disrupt the government's development agenda.
Gachagua emphasized that the people who gave him power—Kenyan voters—deserve to be kept in the loop about government activities.
“We will inform the people, and that I will do, however. I also have a responsibility; you know I have been elected. In the next few weeks, I will be talking to my supporters and tell them what is going on, what is planned and what can happen so that they know that we have been elected and the people have a responsibility to inform the employer are what's going on,” Gachagua explained.

Who is Gachagua loyal to?
The second leader said that his responsibility to the people is greater than the politics within the party, saying that he was elected by the people of Kenya and was not appointed by President William Ruto or the Members of Parliament.
“I was not given this job by the president or by the members of parliament. The president appointed me and recommended me to be approved by the people of Kenya. Kenyans by a majority of votes confirmed President William Ruto's nominee, Rigathi Gachagua to be. the right person for the job The people who gave me this job are Kenyans,” Gachagua added.
Gachagua emphasized the importance of explaining the situation to the people, especially when there are issues that could affect political stability in the country.
“Therefore, if things happen along the way, I think they disturb me, they cause instability in the politics of this country and disturb our development agenda, I have a duty to go to the people to explain what is going on and I will do it. it started today, and I'll be doing it along the way because I'm responsible for other people,” he said.
What will happen to the MPs who plan to sue Gachagua
At the same time, the former county women's representative Laikipia Cate Waruguru strongly criticized the MPs for plotting to remove the deputy president from power.
During the funeral of the deputy governor of Lamu Raphael Wanyua, where Gachagua was also present, Waruguru warned MPs targeting the deputy president.
The former Member of Parliament said that MPs pushing for the removal of Gachagua will not have a chance in the 2027 General Election.
