Kitui – Young children who lost their lives following a hit-and-run road accident have been buried.
A car hit the six children who were on their way to school early in the morning, leaving many, especially their families, broken.
Children hit by Toyota Probox Kitui
It was found that three of the six children who died in Wiitu Shopping Center after being hit by a Toyota Probox belonged to the same family.
“The mass burial of six children who died in a fatal road accident in Kyoani, Kitui South, is currently ongoing. Several leaders from Kitui county were present. Rest in peace young people,” read the heartbreaking caption on the post.
Several photos were shared to accompany the post, showing the setting of the emotional funeral ceremony.
Six coffins on the red carpet in Kitui
Six caskets were placed on a red carpet under the tent which blocked the direct sunlight from hitting the wooden coffins.
Each case also had flowers on the same design, color and workmanship.
There were several police cars visible in the background and other private cars parked in the hall.
There was also another tent where the guests sat silently mourning the death of precious souls.
Kenyans send condolence letters to the families of Kitui
Social media users took to the comments section to write emotional messages as they joined many to mourn the young children.

A family of four was buried in Kisawo village
In another story, Moses Ssemwogerere, his wife Rebecca Arinaitwe, and their two children lived abroad since 2007.
They planned to return home for the first time in December, but that did not happen.
The four were buried together in an exciting event in the village of Kisawo, destroying their entire household.
